Inside Out Tag

Heyo nonexistent peeps! I was tagged for this by the wonderful Kelly @ Another Book in the Wall way back in January (That was ages ago. Back before tech-o-nology hit the world like a really heavy telephone booth. Gosh, I’m old).

… I didn’t particularly like the movie …

Please don’t hate me.

Okaaaaay. Moving on to the TAG!

A Book That Brings You Joy: The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue

the gentleman's guide to vice and virtue

This book was so adorable. *Incoherent squealing*

The characters were so adorable.

The story was so funny.

*More incoherent squealing* This book was ridiculously adorable and funny.

A Book That Brings You Sadness: The Book Thief

the book thief *Insert sobbing*

Go read this book right now.
The characters are beautiful and the writing is beautiful and everything is beautiful.

A Book That Makes You Angry: Matched

matched

I’m going to agree with Kelly and say that Matched brings me anger equivalent to the size of Jupiter.

I’ll admit it, I choose books by their covers occasionally. Sometimes I find amazing books this way, like Keeper of the Lost Cities or The Girl Who Could Fly, and sometimes I end up with books like this one.

The cover is beautiful. A+ for cover.

F- for everything else.

It’s like a poorly written Giver fan fiction with a ridiculous love triangle and the most instantaneous of insta-loves.

One of the worst decisions I made in my life was to finish this book and then completely finish the sequel. What was I thinking?! The sequel was EVEN WORSE. And I didn’t think you could get worse than this.

I decided that I was going to accept that some books just didn’t deserve to be finished after I read this mess in its entirety.

A Book That Disgusts You: Crossed

crossed

Yup. It’s the sequel to Matched and it was even worse.

And I read the whole thing.

*Shudders*

The whole thing was the characters running through a canyon. I think it was supposed to be exciting?

A Book That Brings You Fear: A Conjuring of Light

a conjuring of light

I don’t really read horror books. The only one I can think of is The Night Gardener and that wasn’t particularly scary.

I was really scared on behalf of the characters in A Conjuring of Light.

I’m Tagging…

EVERYONE! Yes, you. And you. And even you back there with the overalls and that absurdly large lollipop.

The Awesome Blogger Award

Hey, nonexistent peeps! We were nominated for The Awesome Blogger Award by the amazing Jina S. Bazzar. Seriously, go check her out. Her posts are awesome.

1) Why did you start blogging?

I started my first blog, https://unicornia2016.wordpress.com/, because I was told to. It’s a guide to traveling to and living in Unicornia, but it’s dormant now.

Spinette started her first blog, https://unicornsightingsblog.wordpress.com/, for the same reason. (She’s the scribe for Ned the Narwhal, though, who doesn’t have fingers.)

My second blog was a book blog which has thankfully been removed from the internet. I started that one because I hated this one book so much and I just had to scream about it somewhere.

Both of these blogs only lasted a few weeks.

I have no idea why we started TheWebWeavers. It kind of just happened.

2) Do you choose the contents of your blog by random or do you have a system?

Obviously randomly. It’s kind of just whatever we want to talk about. (With the exception of Mellow Yellow every Sunday.)

3) Do you rather type the contents of your post on a keyboard – all ten fingers – or on a screen with thumbs?

I like my keyboard a lot. I can’t type as quickly on a tablet or phone and if I type slowly, I usually lose my train of thought, which would result in either a boring or choppy post that skips around. Imagine jokes where I’ve forgotten to add the punchline.

4) If technology was to become extinct but there was one thing that you could keep, what would it be?

I know I just said that I love my keyboard, but I’d probably keep my tablet because my laptop is pretty old and I can feel the last dregs of its life disappearing so I wouldn’t want to save its life from the doom that is the inevitable apocalypse for it to only break the next day.

5) Is there a type of blog that you seek to follow, or do you only follow those who follow you – or do you only follow the blogs that you really enjoy?

I only follow the blogs that I really enjoy because I try to read every post from the blogs that I do follow, and so I don’t follow all that many since the day only has a finite amount of time. I do try my best to read a couple posts from everyone that follows or likes on TheWebWeavers, though.

6) During a cold storm, would you rather spend your time reading, watching a movie or talking on the phone?

Reading, obviously. I spend all my free time reading anyway.

7) When you hear the word fantasy, what comes first to your mind?

Snowflakes and ash. Purple snowflakes and blue ash, to be more precise. No idea why. My minds a weird place.

8) Have you ever lied about having a commitment so you could stay at home lazing around or blogging, or just to finish reading a book you particularly enjoyed?

I will confess, I have claimed to have more homework than I actually do to get out of things. Not often.

I’m a rebel.

9) What’s a word you can’t stop using on your posts but think you should?

Lovely. I use it too much, not just on my posts, but everywhere. It’s my go-to adjective, but it makes me sound like an old-fashioned, stereotypical British dude.

10) If you were asked to rename your blog, what would you name it?

The Arachnid&Spinette Show

Arachnid&Spinette

The Art of Web Weaving

Unitato (Unicorn + Potato = Unitato)

My Bookish Identity, A Book Tag

I was tagged for this by the wonderful Kelly | Another Book in the Wall. Check her out, nonexistent readers, she’s got brilliant posts.

What Dystopian/Fantastical World Would You Want to Live In?

As much as I love books, I probably wouldn’t want to live in most of these worlds. I mean, they’re insane, and I’d rather be chilling out and doing nothing, not running for my life, thank you very much.

But if I had to choose, I’d probably go with the wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter in a time of peace, ’cause you gotta love Hogwarts.

Who Would Your Partner Be?

Keefe Sencen from Keeper of the Lost Cities, because Keefe is the absolute best thing in the fictional universe.

Who Would Be Your Godly Mother/Father [Percy Jackson]? (Quiz)

Okay, guys, I’m going to admit something here. I’ve only read the first book in the Percy Jackson series and I despised it.

rr-godly-parent-quiz-hades_72378ec8

I got Hades.

I could really use some emojis right now.

You know what, it makes a lot of sense.

Would You Be a Downworlder or Nephilim [Shadowhunter World]? (Quiz)

I haven’t read this either, so no idea what this means.

Okay, I’ve just found out this is a TV series, which just further illustrates my point.

shadow hunter

I’m a Shadowhunter! Yay?

Which Hogwarts House Would You Be In [Harry Potter]?

The Pottermore quiz told me I’m a Gryffindor.

Which Faction Would You Be In [Divergent]? (Quiz)

I haven’t read this either… But I’m planning to soon!

divergent

I got Divergent! (Whatever that means)

You deviate from the norm. The aptitude test is inconclusive. It cannot determine just one faction for you, Divergent. Your mind is ceaselessly changing. You’re creative, with a strong sense of self, and you have a clear picture of who you are and what you want. You stand out from the crowd. You may pose a threat to the norms of society, but you are unwilling to give into them.

Sounds about right.

What Would Be Your Daemon [Northern Lights]? (Quiz)

You guessed it! I haven’t read this either.

osprey.png

Well, okay. Ospreys are cool birds. I relate with the woodpecker more, though.

I am tagging the following peeps plus any other marshmallows who feel like doing it.

Don’t you just love that alliteration? It just rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it? Well, don’t worry, there is more about my tongue later.

Oh. I’m a whale!

I taste the water upon my taste-buds. The water is salty, I think to myself, taking in more, “So salty! I love it!” My eyes cartoonishly turn into hearts as I think about airport pretzels. A crab gets sucked into my mouth and as crabs do, pinches my tongue! Owie! Soon he left me, sticking his nonexistent tongue.

Getting bored as a whale, I build the salt particles into an S “shape” and fawn over the wonderful curves of ze S.

“You like S’s too?” A woman who could somehow breath underwater confronts me. She is barefooted and has butter sticks in her hand. Her eyes are as wide as saucers. “Quick!”

Suddenly,  I become a human again.

“Touch my toes!” she urges. “I will give you these butter sticks!”

I hesitate, remembering my manners, but then I give out to the amazing concept of toes and butter sticks in harmony, “Of course,” I say, petting her toenails. The butter sticks are summoned into my mouth by ze woman.

“Gud Bi!” My mouth is filled with the slick taste of butter.

Once I’m on land, I find a banana tree. Much like a monkey would, I peel the banana from the rear end. Unfortunately, I do it with my hands, since I’m not very good at foot coordination.

The woman comes from the water with a mini vacuum. I assume she is a dentist.

“I VANT TO SUCK YOUR BLOOD!” she hisses.

“You are a weird woman.” I give her a not-so-lovesick side glance.

(Actually, those two quotes happened in my brain)

“I want to clean your teeth. Your breath on my toes caused them to further in osmosis. They look like wrinkly prunes. Your teeth look like wrinkly prunes, not my toes,” she hisses. There is no doubt that dentists eat all the gunk in their vacuums.

I ran away and woke up.

SURPRISE! It is all just a made up dream to answer a tag! Don’t you just love when authors do that? I do.

Wow. That’s a lot of questions. However, they can be rounded up into one answer: Super Spineless Sleepy Spinette Spyder.

Go on, look at the title! I can say with 100% confidence that I didn’t miss a thing.
