I have a very complex reading list, but it works for me.
I have two lists, one a subset of the other. The large list, encompassing all the books I plan to read, consists of all the books I plan to read. The smaller list, the imminent list, consists all the series that I’m currently reading. As I finish a series on the imminent list, I move a series from my larger list to my imminent list.
I do it this way because I used to only have the larger list and I would strictly read books in that order. I’d add new books to the bottom. This meant that I would often read twenty to thirty books between the various books in a series and I would end up forgetting what happened in the earlier books.
So I present:
The Imminent List
- A Court of Wings and Ruin
- Tower of Dawn
- The School for Good and Evil a World Without Princes
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
- Keeper of the Lost Cities Everblaze
- The Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus
- Ruin and Rising
The Longer List
- Siege and Storm
- A Court of Wings and Ruin
- Tower of Dawn
- The School for Good and Evil a World Without Princes
- Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
- Keeper of the Lost Cities Everblaze
- The Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus
- The Apothecary
- The Pathfinder
- The Young Elites
- An Ember in the Ashes
- The Beyonders
- Divergent
- Let the Sky Fall
- All the Wrong Questions
- Carve the Mark
- Ender’s Game
- Game of Thrones
- Struck by Lightning
- Stranger than Fanfiction
- The Golden Compass
- The Maze Runner
- Apex
- Genuine Fraud
- Mark of the Thief
Have you read any of these books? What did you think of them?
Hmm… Maybe I should make a list of books I’ve read this year.
